Differential pressure flowmeters use the differential pressure principle to measure the flow of liquids, gases, and steam. These flow instruments determine flow velocity by measuring the pressure difference between upstream and downstream taps on a primary flow element- as fluids flow through a pipe. A higher differential pressure indicates a higher flow rate.
